The license plate is close, but not the one on Burt's trailer http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/02/burts-trailer-simple-and-effective.html , and the tall guy is wearing new sneakers, nothing looked like those in the 60's, and Burt was skinny
It's a good movie, and incredible that it's the first for the (writer, director, producer, set director, music, editor) do it all - Faith Granger

Watched it, thouroughly enjoyed it! The Rolling Bones "Wicked Sisters" on a road trip from New York state to Bonneville, and we get to watch and enjoy instead of roadside repair the headgasket that blew.... now I'm all for a bonding experience that you get to relive forever as a great story of how you had to wrench on the roadside with only a flashlight to illuminate the process, but it's pretty cool to just watch from the couch as a couple of hot rodders cruise cross country to hot rod racing mecca, Bonneville. We actually don’t know if those are actually deer, but it sure looks like fun and Will Smith doesn’t shoot any (for one moment we thought he was trying to run them over), so it’s safe to watch, even for animal lovers or PETA members. Way more exciting than driving for two hours in the woods in a beat up Bronco and wait for the prey to show up. You can see all this and hear the wonderful roar of the predator -a.k.a the Shelby Mustang GT 500- in the first 9 minutes of the movie.
Cars: mankind’s coolest inventions. But you know what’s cooler?
Cars transforming to robots locked in blazing battle scenes, gunfights and explosive special effects!
